Another fine day dawned. Over on the west coast reports of gales and floods around Christchurch.
A short ride into Westport for fuel and the day's provisions.
Up the Buller Gorge before turning south towards Reefton.
Lunch at the Slab Hut DOC campground. Picture perfect.
Head back towards Greymouth before turning inland again at Dobson. Pause at Lake Brunner and the Station House Cafe overlooking the Moana station on the shores of the lake.
Grey skies and cloud ahead in the direction of Arthur's Pass. However our luck holds and the skies clear as we wind up the pass.
At a lookout, we have a close we encounter with a family of Keas. They attempt to devour my front tire.
On to our accommodation at Arthur's. Friends of M&U who are away, but we are well looked after by some young Woofers who are in residence.
