Left our Cromwell BnB in cold unsettled weather. Fresh snow on the hills & a bite to the air. A few showers as we set off towards Queenstown, turning off at Arrow Junction to climb up to the Cardrona Rd and the run downhill to Wanaka. Lunch by the lake under now clear skies with the forecast looking good for the West coast.
Up the road towards the Haast Pass, stopping at Boundary Creek campsite on the northern shores of Lake Wanaka. Another great days riding. Magic scenery and great roads with little traffic.
Tomorrow onward and upward over Haast with the promise of at least 3 days of fine weather on the West Coast. A rare treat apparently!
